‘Continuous Life and Death at the Now of Eternity II’

‘Continuous Life and Death at the Now of Eternity II’ is an ever-evolving digital artwork that continuously renders an image in real time. The piece was created by teamLab, an international art collective featuring artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians and architects.  

In the flow of time, flowers are born, bloom and then wither and die. The artwork becomes brighter with the Brisbane sunrise, and darker as the sun sets. Rather than being pre-recorded and played back, the piece is created by a computer program which generates the updated image ‘live’.  

It is continually changing, and its visual states are never replicated. This enthralling work offers singular, unique pictures, each of which can never be seen again.
