Each concert features a unique lineup of virtuoso musicians from across Australia and New Zealand, including renowned artists such as Slava Grigoryan, Sydney Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Andrew Haveron, the NZTrio with Amalia Hall, Australian violin soloist Emily Sun, New Zealand operatic soprano Madison Nonoa, and Melbourne-based Finnish pianist Paavali Jumppanen, among many others.
2025 Programs
Concert 1 “Tree of Life”
The Tree of Life, an ancient symbol embraced by many cultures, represents the interconnected cycle of life.
Tracing this life cycle from deep roots to blossoming branches, this evocative program performed by Sydney Symphony Concertmaster Andrew Haveron, Soprano Eden Shifroni (first prize winner of the 2024 IFAC Handa Australian Singing Competition), Sydney pianist Vatche Jambazian, cello soloist favourite Rachel Siu, and oboist Tania Frazer, features works by Handel, Mozart, Debussy, and Franck to celebrate the beauty and resilience of life through music.

Concert 2 “The Troubadours”
Step into the world of The Troubadours, a program inspired by the spirit of wandering musicians who carried stories, emotions, and cultures across borders.
Featuring the incomparable guitar master Slava Grigoryan, violin virtuoso Emily Sun, former ASQ cellist Sharon Grigoryan, and oboist Tania Frazer, this vibrant program explores the diverse paths of traveling minstrels and troubadours. With works from around the globe, each piece captures the essence of the wanderer’s journey, evoking a rich tapestry of musical storytelling.

Concert 3 “Timeless Voices”
Timeless Voices celebrates the resilience and genius of composers who, despite personal and societal challenges, created works of lasting beauty that continue to inspire across generations.
Mendelssohn displays unmatched youthful brilliance in his Piano Trio No. 1, while the raw emotion of Shostakovich’s Piano Trio in C Minor, Op. 8 evokes the turbulence of the Stalinist era. Ezio Bosso’s Rain in Her Dark Eyes transforms personal health struggles into a hauntingly beautiful soundscape; Lachlan Skipworth’s delightful Oboe Quartet sets a fabulous new benchmark for oboe repertoire, and Artie Shaw’s jazz-infused Concerto redefines the boundaries of the traditional concerto.
Together, these works celebrate the triumph of the human spirit and the enduring power of music to connect, inspire, and leave an indelible mark on the world.

Concert 4 “The Garden of Dreams”
Step into The Garden of Dreams, a program that conjures vivid musical imagery and showcases dazzling virtuosity, performed by Finnish piano soloist and Director of ANAM in Melbourne, Paavali Jumppanen alongside Principal Violin of the Australian Chamber Orchestra and superstar soloist Satu Vänskä, Peter Clark of the New Zealand String Quartet , Principal Cello of the QSO and audience favourite, Hyung Suk Bae and of course oboist Tania Frazer.
Works by Beethoven, Rossini, Debussy, Ravel, and Sibelius bring stories to life through sound, from Beethoven’s dramatic ‘Pathétique’ Sonata to Ravel’s fiery violin showpiece, Tzigane.
